Trout don't always take our flies as a feeding response. When natural flies and presentations aren't working, trigger them to take our flies by appealing to a trout's natural curiosity, aggression or territorial behaviour using attractor patterns. It is always important to have a selection of attractor patterns like these stashed within your stillwater fly box.
On those days when trout seem reluctant to play, attractor patterns such as the Tequila Blob stripped through the water using brisk strip pause retrieves often saves the day.
